Community Midwives

Your Fife community midwives are contactable on 01334 465848.

Maternity care has recently changed, in that the first port of call is now the midwife team.  Community midwives run a clinic on a Wednesday morning at the surgery once a fortnight.

The District Nurses look after people who are confined to their home, but need nursing care. Arrangements can be made through your Doctor where necessary, but you can contact the District Nurses by telephoning 01334 477477.

Health Visitors

The role of the Health Visitor is varied. We deal with all pre-school children. Each local Primary School Nursery Department has a named Health Visitor attached to it. Blackfriars Health Visitor is the named H.V for Canongate PS Nursery. Our wider remit includes support for families and the community with a Public Health approach.
